If you are considering postgraduate study, you might be interested in these scholarships that are available to campus-based students on our MA Screen Studies: http://www.bcu.ac.uk/student-info/finance-and-money-matters/financial-support/postgraduate/overview/
On this MA, we explore some of the issues emerging from the ways in which digital technologies are used in the production, distribution and consumption of film, TV and other screen media. Students work with tutors to develop their own research interests, and to advance their personal and professional development.
We also offer this MA in distance learning mode for those that have work or family commitments that mean they aren´t able to move to Birmingham. Our distance learners tend to do the MA part time, so that they can fit their studies around their jobs. They access learning materials online and have weekly tutorials via Skype at a time that is convenient for them. The university also offers fees discounts specifically for distance learning students: http://www.bcu.ac.uk/media/applying-to-us/sky-scholarship/fee-waivers
We have students who use screen media in their jobs, students in media and cultural industries, and students who want to develop careers in academia. If you would like to find out more, please contact me via email or Twitter.
